Transparency

Privacy without empty promises.

This page describes the behavior of this public website, not any separate services.

Local processing

JSON, Base64 and SHA-256 process text and selected files with JavaScript and the Web Crypto API inside your browser. These tools contain no code that uploads entered fields or files to our server.

What a web server can see

Opening a page requires a network connection. A web server may process and log an IP address, request time, URLs, response codes and technical headers. HTTPS protects data in transit but does not make a visit invisible to the web server.

Browser storage

The theme switch stores only northcloud-theme in localStorage. The tools do not persist your input in localStorage and do not require accounts.

Third-party resources

The public site does not load external fonts, CDN JavaScript, analytics or advertising trackers. Browser extensions and settings operate independently, so avoid entering secrets in an untrusted browser.

Limits

When you select a file for hashing, the browser reads it locally. Large files may require significant memory and CPU time, so the limit is 32 MB. Server log retention should be evaluated separately from this client-side code.

In brief: these tools are local, but loading a website still makes network requests.
